Alayne D. Smith
Alayne Smith, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, 1999 to Present, joined the Bach Society Chorus as a soprano in 1974.  Over thirty years later she still finds it thrilling to sing in performances with the chorus.
When she auditioned for music director Ronald Arnatt, Alayne's primary reason for wanting to join the chorus was to sing the beautiful music of Bach and other renowned composers.  Today, however, she says it is the people that keep her coming back year after year.
In addition to her longtime commitment to the chorus, Alayne has served as the Bach Society's Executive Director since 1999.  Alayne's ability to build relationships within the community and her administrative acumen have benefited the Bach Society in countless ways.
Alayne's husband, Greg and their two children, Philip and Mindy are very supportive of her commitment to the Society and they are extremely proud of her accomplishments.  Alayne credits her parents and grandparents for instilling within her a love of music.  She encourages all parents, grandparents, teachers and friends of children to make sure that music is a part of children's lives.  She encourages churches and schools to offer only the finest music programs, and to teach children to celebrate the gift of music.
